The Lodge Hotel: Port wine culture with Ezarri
ezarri´s swimming pool tiles are the link between water and wine in this luxury hotel in Oporto dedicated to the culture of wine. Inspired by the culture of wine and vineyards, The Lodge Hotel is distinguished by the exclusive design by the renowned Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva and by the architecture firm ARQ2525 Arquitectos.
Nini Andrade was able to connect the soul of the Douro Valley organically in successive scenic environments, awakening the senses in an aura of timelessness. The Lodge manages to uniquely honour the rich cultural heritage of the Douro region.
The Lodge Hotel is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, the heart of Porto´s wine-growing region, an area dotted with wineries offering guided tours and tastings. It is also known for sandy beaches such as Praia da Madalena and the picturesque Cais de Gaia area on the river, featuring outdoor cafés and sweeping views of the Douro.
Mosaic tiles for pools with smooth satiny textures
The Lodge Hotel opted for mosaic tiles to create a magnificent outdoor swimming pool with a simply breathtaking view of the Puente Dom Luis I Bridge and the Sierra del Pilar. The hotel´s exquisitely decorated outdoor pool area exudes a contemporary urban atmosphere, where food and drinks are also available. The terrace rooms offer direct access to the shared swimming pool, offering comfort and convenience.
For this pool, ezarri has used the Custom Printed Mosaic to decorate with a large grape and the reference Sagittarius from the Space Collection, a glass mosaic pool tile with a soft satiny sheen, particularly suitable for swimming pools, interiors, spas, and saunas, and wellness areas. The result radiates energy with its beautiful intensely blue tones.
