Mosaic for interiors in Bavaria (Germany)
At Ezarri we have hundreds of style references and colours organised into mosaic collections for interiors and exteriors. In this case we are looking at a refurbishment project carried out in two phases at the end of 2016 and in 2017 in the Ibis Styles Hotel Regensburg, located in Bavaria, Germany.
The style reference used was Alexander from the Cocktail collection. This is a combination of mosaics with a brilliant effect. It is a type of mosaic for interiors that gives outstanding results.
The bathrooms were renovated by fitting the interior mosaic on top of the existing ceramic. This type of installation is rather special, so Ezarri carried out consultancy work to assess the requirements and advise on the installation.
The Ezarri commitment to interior mosaics

Which tools will make the installation of the Ezarri interior mosaics easier?

In the case of the Ibis Styles Hotel Regensburg, the installation of the interior mosaic on top of the existing ceramic had to be carried out following the steps listed below:

First, the preparation of the surface. The existing ceramic was cleaned with caustic soda. The goal was to remove all traces of dirt, cleaning products or any foreign matter. Then all the ceramic was entirely sanded by hand before finally cleaning it with water.

Second, the use of adhesives. In the case of the Ibis Styles Hotel Regensburg, an improved adhesive was used: Keraflex Extra S1 with an Ultracolor Plus grout.
In addition to the consultancy work, in this project the mosaic, the adhesive and the grout were all provided by Ezarri.
